The Green Man candle

The Green Man candle
In celebration of high summer and Lughnasadh, a candle crafted for your ceremonial altars, to be burnt with intention.
Dyed local beeswax, imbued with the energy of elder, each with its own beeswax symbol depicting the Green Man. Green Man lore is prevalent throughout Celtic and Pagan folktales, and he often is linked with this Lammas/Lughnasadh time.
Although elder is traditionally used at Samhain, elderflowers themselves speak to me of peak summer. They have been waving to me in my garden the last few months, only just now beginning to turn to berries. Elder is wise, as she is potent. She signals the end of a cycle, and as you light this candle may you feel the strength of summer and the inevitable waning that Lughnasadh signifies.
These are spell candles for ceremonial use on altars. They are rolled in herbs which are flammable, and as such these candles must never be burnt unattended. If you burn one, it is best done on a large plate to catch the wax. These are burnt at your own risk.
